Seedling (project)
Banyan is growing. Now is the time to develop the detail and clarity around our plans so that we can validate them with ISA providers and seed investors.
Outcomes:
- define product and validate fit with ISA providers
- detailed budget and plan Discovery Fund for Banyan Pilot to justify fundraising ask
- high level vision for Global Fund
- pitch deck
Success criteria: raise at least USD 2M of seed funding.

Banyan Pilot (project)
The pilot will us and the ISA providers to learn by doing at a small scale - real investments, real data, real investor reporting. It will enable us and the ISA providers to identify the challenges, costs and changes required to successfully scale up and launch a sustainable investment fund.
Outcomes:
- develop and implement legal structure for the transaction
- develop and implement reporting processes for performance and compliance
- develop risk and compliance plans based on detailed modelling and analysis
- gather feedback from ISA providers and investors
- detailed business plan and budget
- investor deck
Success criteria: raise at least USD 20M of investment, and USD 1M of working capital

Banyan Foundation (project)
Banyan is a challenging partner for WorldVision (WVA) because nothing exists yet, and building a billion dollar fund requires big investors, not small donations. A tax-deductible foundation would provide a simple pathway for WVA to direct interested donors to Banyan without complex pitch decks.
Banyan Foundation would be a low friction on-ramp for interested parties, and maybe lead generation tool for investors. Risks: foundation is a cost sink that burns our seed funding faster than it takes to raise funding for global fund. More analysis needed.
Banyan Global Fund (project)
Launch an investment fund for qualified investors with at least USD 20m of investment that is diversified across at least 2 providers and 10 countries.
